The department Commandant is working on creating our MCL plate for the 2019 // 2020 renewal periods. There is a lot left to do but this is a photo of what the plate will look like. Before long we will all need to bring our State Representatives into the loop they need to vote on the plate and write it into the law. The Marine Corps League needs it’s very own specialty license plate to augment its fund raising efforts that support our charitable efforts. And… to have a method to display our pride and dedication to our Corps.
Marine Corps League Detachment 567 has one of the very best honor guards in the bay area. They stand ready to render honors for veterans and their families. We can provide stirring and solemn services whenever it is appropriate for the flags of the United States and the Marine Corps to be displayed.
There is BINGO every Wednesday starting with the early birds at 1230. The Kitchen is open with Burgers, BLTs, grilled cheese, fries and more, and of course a well stocked bar is available.
“The homeless veterans and their families are in desperate need of nonperishable food, water and money. Drop off all items at the league so I can take it to the St Vincent De Paul CARES food pantry and they will distribute them to the needy vets and their families.”
We are now a collection point for food to be distributed to needy veterans in the Holiday area. Any type of non perishable food items and sundries including bottled water and of course monetary donations (money can be left with the bartender on duty.) Bring any items you wish to donate to the detachment and place them in the box inside the front door. The Detachment Jr Vice Mike Lattuca will take it from there with an assist from the St Vincent De Paul society.
